Matariki Kites
For homework in Weeks 5 and 6, we had to design and construct our own kites to fly on the school field. We had an awesome response to this homework, with everyone bringing in such creative designs! On Friday we took to the school field to test them out. The day started out promising with the sun shining and wind blowing. With the whole school out in force, we took our kites to the sky (or at least attempted to!). Unfortunately, the afternoon was cut short due to rain. We didn't let that dampen our spirits though!
